Cable Sweater & Skirt to Knit
Our Price: $7.00
Sale Price: $4.00
Outshine the stars in this swing vest crafted in five colors of Lang’s Amalfi!

Designed with a nod to the Italian fashion house of Missoni, the zig-zag stripes are fashioned by ripple knitting with built in shaping, so that the tunic length vest gracefully flares to the hemline.  Perfect to give a little pizzazz to your wardrobe.

This sweater with optional side vents, is great with jeans or dressed up with the matching skirt in whatever length you choose.  A simple but effective design of stocking stitch, cable, and rib. 5  sizes XS-XL with finished chest/hip of 36" (40, 44, 48, 52"). This pattern uses worsted weight yarn, with a gauge of 16 st & 24 rows over 4".  The designer used cotton, but you could use almost any worsted weight yarn, if you make some allowances for the nature of the fiber.  Remember that for skirts, pilling can be a problem for some animal fibers. Sweater takes 890 (950, 1035, 1185, 1080) yards, Skirt takes 590 (665, 740, 815, 890) for a 22" length. What a lovely Fair Isle project!  This tam & mittens set will keep you warm and show off your knitting skills too.  Knit in fingering weight yarn.   Women's medium.     Set takes about one ounce each of 6 colors.  The yarn that is called for is Jamieson & Smith Shetland wool, but you could use another fingering or sock yarn.
