Worsted weight Multi-Patterned/Self Striping Yarn

I have to say, this is a tremendous bargain on a first quality yarn. No one does superwash better than the German companies, so take advantage of this.

The first three colors(L>R) give a mottled effect to the pale green, tan, or denim colors (we have a very limited quantity of denim). This would be suitable for virtually anything from a bobbled scarf to a huge afghan.

The next 3 colors give the zig-zag effect when knit back and forth, and a somewhat more pooling pattern when knit in the round or over longer distances like a sideways scarf. The colors will block out stitchwork, so stick to something simple.

The last two colors will produce rugby stripes when knit back and forth, thinner stripes in the round, big fat stripes on thinner pieces like scarves. (This is your basic no-effort Dr. Who scarf! Knit one for halloween!) And who doesn't love a rugby stripe sweater?

Any of the modular techniques so popular today will produce an entirely different look for the zig-zag and striping colors. Why not try triangles, or pentagons, or hexagons, or mitered blocks--or a combination? Try a side to side pattern, or a yoked raglan from the top down--they'll all be different.
