I knitted a pair of socks for my dad's 83rd birthday in May. he gets cold but has always hated wool. this yarn is wonderfully soft and he loves his socks. It was some of the best yarn to use on #2 needles. I'm a pretty loopy knitter but these socks turned out great. (vanilla socks in the steppin out book) Laural Murphy knitting is a really quick and reliable source. s

When we saw this yarn, I was intrigued by the spin technique used, so I had to try it out. Soft Sea has a tight spin, and a lot of elasticity, so it is very forgiving. This would be my yarn of choice for a new sock knitter or anyone learning dp needles, and experienced knitters will like it too because it knits so fast. Because of this I'm going to make it an option in our popular "Learn to Knit Socks Kit."
