Description   Austermann Scarlet Well, we don't know where the Austermann folks got the name, but the yarn was imported from Belgium.  An exceptionally soft synthetic blend, this is a super bulky 2 ply cord with a very light feathery halo.  Half of the cord is baby blue, the other half is space-dyed in all the other baby pastels--yellow, pink, green, lavender.  Actually quite attractive. A 50g ball has about 55 yards. 8.5 stitches and 12 rows to 4" on size US 15-17 (10-12mm) needles My guess is that 7-8 balls would make a nice baby blanket, and of course this would make great scarves, hats, muffs etc.  The ball band suggests 600g (12 balls) for an average woman's long sleeve sweater. Hand wash lay flat to dry.
