Schulana die Trendige Masche #25 by Schulana YarnsSchulana is a very well established yarn company from Switzerland, with a definite European look. You'll find bulky ski sweaters, fashion forward jackets, sophisticated office wear, evening glamour and comfy casuals here, plus a lot of inspiration!
We are beginning our stock of Schulana yarns with two new yarns, Cortina and Cortina Nuvole. These are big bulky yarns that are extra light to wear--the next generation of bulky yarn. There are 6 patterns for these yarns in this book. We can, of course, get other Schulana yarns featured in this booklet, usually getting to you within 2 weeks. See the Cortina and Cortina Nuvole here.
Since we do not want anyone to be disappointed, we have to explain about sizes. We have run into this issue with other European pattern books, and the fact is that the sizing runs small. Plus, a number of the patterns are only provided in the smaller sizes. Here are the guidelines for finished garments: Small, 36" Medium 38-40" Large 42-44" XL 46-48" This includes all wearing ease. Depending on the garment and how tight you like to wear your clothes, this could be a lot smaller than you expect. A jacket like the cross-hatch design pictured for the Cortina Nuvole should have 6-8" of wearing ease to accommodate undergarments and blouse/turtleneck/light sweater, which means that a Small would comfortably fit a person with a 28-30" bust measurement, 32" at the most. A sweater like the one in the cover shot should have 4-6" wearing ease-- you get the idea.
By all means please ask questions--we are here to help. If you love one of the designs, please check with us first, if necessary, on the sizing in the book. We will help you resize any of these designs if at all possible. We do not want to sell you a book you cannot use--we want happy customers!
