We are happy to be able to bring you a new blend of merino wool, Australian possum fur, and silk, direct from New Zealand.

While yarns incorporating possum fur have been available from time to time, this new blend contains 40% fur, a larger proportion than most blends. Plus, Supreme Possum Merino incorporates 10% silk, rather than the nylon sometimes used to provide strength. Add the well-known qualities of New Zealand merino wool and this is a blend like no other: supremely soft, supremely warm, and long wearing. This yarn will quickly become a favorite.

Because of the light weight of the possum fur, Supreme Possum Merino provides excellent yardage per gram. The yarn will not pill and it is one of the warmest known fibres around.
