Filo by Lang
Filo is a re-incarnation of Amalfi, the beautiful yarn that has been so popular the last 5 years. This yarn is a solid cotton core, wrapped with shiny nylon, giving both comfort in warm weather plus just a hint of glitz. The main difference is a smaller gauge, which provides a lot more versatility for Filo.
It has a lot of body to it, so it looks like shiny silk without all the drapey, saggy-ness of silk I have swatched it myself, and washed it, and it gets a bit softer, but is still firm enough to hold the design features of more structured patterns. At the same time it will produce a great lacy fabric!
There are numerous patterns in the Fatto a Mano Spring and Summer magazines. Pullovers, wraps, cardigan, and lots of inventive scarves too. We are bringing this yarn in gradually so there may be a week's delay or so in shipment, depending on the color.
