Finally! A hemp you can handle! And one that won't fall apart or shed, either. This new yarn isn't nearly as stiff or scratchy as hemp yarn used to be, and it becomes softer as you wash it. Java comes in a big 100g ball containing 219 yards, so it goes a long way. Machine Wash, tumble dry low. 100% hemp, Java is a great choice for home decor projects due to its superior strength and durability. Fast growing and with a small carbon footprint, this natural fiber is easy on the environment. All this, and beautiful colors too!

I adore this yarn but can't leave a review about it without also mentioning the thoughtful attention given by the owners of handknitting.com to make sure my order went through, etc... I appreciate that to no end!

As for the yarns themselves, they're wonderful to work in general but especially compared to other hemps... as noted by others aswell, the pictures are true to color...

This barn's amazing to work with--the only thing that needs to be noted is that some lengths can vary in thickness from the 4 to 3 weight
