Lopi Volume 38, Winter 2019
If you think Icelandic designs are all the same, you need to see the new Lopi Volume 38. All of the patterns in this book have been designed by Védís Jónsdóttir, Iceland's most accomplished and best known knit designer. Every one of these designs reflects her marvelous talent, and she includes her comments about every pattern.
This volume has more than 25 patterns with variations. There are sweaters for women and men, children, a toddler onesie, and even a Christmas tree skirt and a small dog sweater that looks a lot like a Santa suit!! There are patterns for all 5 Lopi qualities: Lett-Lopi, Alafoss Lopi, Bulky Lopi, the unspun Plotulopi, and the fingering/lace weight Einband. We carry all these Icelandic wools, as you may know.
These designs have bold strokes, which make them especially easy to substitute colors, so you can choose whatever colors you like. Remember, we are here to help you design your perfect Icelandic piece-- we will happily send you color clips, or work with you to choose colors.
