A little bit of lace adds elegance to this lady-like top, whether you dress it up or dress it down.
8 sizes from a finished 33.5" through 50.5".  Uses fingering weight yarn. 
Gauge is 33st & 38r = 4 inches in stockinette on size 2 (2.75mm) needles, and 29 st = 4 inches in lace stitch with size 3 (3.25mm) needles.
