Inspired by the 19th century Norwegian Fana Cardigan, the traditional star, band and checkerboard motifs make this sock fun to knit in four sizes. Guernsey or firm sport weight yarn recommended. Cream and navy or your choice of colors.

Featured Techniques:
Two-Color Three-Strand Cast-On, Knitting with a color in each hand, Multi-color Continental Knitting, Round Heel theory, Round Toe.

Beth Brown Reinsel is an expert on Scandanavian and other traditional knitting techniques.  All of her patterns include not only clear instructions but also charts, schematics, glossary and bibliography.  Every pattern also contains mini technique lessons.
