We all love cotton--we wear it all year long, don't we? Of course we do. It's soft, comfortable, and durable.

Radiant Cotton is a multiple-ply spun yarn with a very tight twist. It holds together better, is pre-shrunk, and is gassed, so it resists pilling much more than most spun cottons. This cotton has a luxurious sheen that gives a polished look to finished pieces. This 100% Egyptian cotton is pleasant to use, with a high quality worthy of your time and talents.

Egyptian cotton is a long-staple variety that out-performs other cottons by far. There are so many advantages to this great cotton--easy to knit, beautiful colors, durability. And the price? It's fabulous--What a good value!

  • 100% Egyptian Cotton
  • 100g hank is about 203yards
  • Use US 5-6 needles DK weight for 21-22 stitches in 4"
  • For crochet, use a G hook
  • machine wash - warm, do not bleach, dry low or very low heat. I use a mesh bag in both washer and dryer, and dry only until damp, then lay flat. This results in almost no wrinkles.

My mother was very happy to receive one more ball of matching Radiant Cotton DK yarn to finish her sweater. We hadn’t been very hopeful about finding another ball of the same dye lot to match yarn purchased two years ago but Laurel was very quick to reply to my inquiry and the matching yarn  arrived at my Mother’s home in Ontario about a week after I placed the order. This was an excellent experience and I would happily recommend Laurel and Handknitting.com to others.

Wonderful yarn.  Very considerate customer service, but:  I was concerned about matching the color (the names of color are strange) they wisely offered to send me a sample before processing my order. HOWEVER (no I am not yelling, I am emphasizing), I did write in the comments my concerns about choosing the correct color .  I wasnt' sure how carefully they read the comments so I wrote some words in all caps.  I got a handwritten note on the mailed yarn sample asking me, "not to yell".  I had no idea all caps was yelling in the written text/notes world.  And was a little taken aback by the scolding.  however, I did order and receive the correct color.  All is well.
