A great basic pattern that is easy to knit for beginners. Great for everyday wear Six sizes, with two preemie sizes, 0-3 mo, 3-6mo, 6-12 mo, and 1-2 yr sizes.
For 4ply yarns, we suggest Peter Pan 4 ply, Supreme Possum Merino 4 ply, Soft Sea Wool,
or Baby Ull. Or try any standard DK weight smooth yarn, such as Peter Pan DK,
Marble, Cabin Fever Cotton Twist, or Sunday Best.
Yardage for pieces:
Use any DK weight, about 140 yards per 50 g ball, or 4ply weight, about 190 yards per 50g ball.
Sweater or Jacket: 140 yards for smallest size (140, 280, 280, 280, 420)
about 1 balls (1, 2, 2, 2, 3)
(Same number of balls in 4ply as for DK weight)
