URANIA - the perfect yarn for knitting. Urania, which means heavenly, lives up to its name. The yarn consists of a mixture of extra fine merino wool and lyocell.

A beautiful sheen plus sumptuous softness makes Urania perfect for any DK weight project. Of course there are beautiful patterns in the Fatto a Mano 265 too.

  • 70% Merino extrafine wool, 30% Tencel (lyocell)
  • 50g ball is about 147 yards (135m)
  • Use a US 4-6 needle (3.5-4mm)
  • 21 st and 30 r to 4" (10cm)
  • Wash on delicate cycle or hand wash, lay flat to dry, no bleach, or dry clean
Lyocell fibers from ecologically certified, renewable raw materials are produced in a closed cycle. They are breathable, bacteria-repellent and completely biodegradable.
