100 g skeins = 110 yards (100m)
3 1/4- 3 1/2 stitches to the inch on size 10-10.5 needles (6-6.5mm)
Hand wash, lay flat to dry. Dry cleanable.

Lovely wool yarn
I am very much an amateur knitter and this is my first splurge on the good stuff. I wanted %100 wool as this to be a felting project, and rich colors as these going to be elf hats and slippers. When I first sat down to start there was a faint aroma that reminded me of the New Zealand sheepskins we got as children, but it quickly disappated. Such fond memories. The yarn has a nice hand and I found it easy to work with. The first elf hat knitted up nicely and I am on to the second one now. Can’t wait to try the felting in the washing machine part of the process. My imagination is already ticking away on potential future projects.

Great yarn
I was able to find 3 more skeins of Alafoss Lopi from this site to finish a jacket whose yarn I bought 5 years ago in Iceland. It’s lovely to knit with and makes up into a water resistant coat in a flash on big needles. The yarn wasn’t available elsewhere and delivered quickly. Now I can add on a cabled hood and big pockets. A Starry Night Cardigan
I love, love, love this yarn. I bought the alafoss lopi yarn in black tweed. The fabric I am creating with it looks like stars in the night sky. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick delivery of my order as it allowed me to get started on my sweater sooner than I was prepared to do.
