100% Tibetan Yak Down Yarn — Fingering/Lace Weight
Here's something different: pure yak down from Tibet, and the mill has discovered how to produce these beautiful colors. This elegant yarn has a smooth hand like fine cotton, but it's fantastically light weight, so your lacy garment will simply float. Warmer than wool, with very nice stitch definition and only a hint of a halo.
One 50g hank of Tibetan Cloud has 495 yards, enough for a good sized short shawl. Use 2-3 skeins for larger shawls and stoles. This yarn is perfectly suited for any of the beautiful Fiddlesticks Knitting Lace patterns that call for fingering/lace weight yarn.
Yak down has no crimp, so there is no elasticity in this yarn, but it is very low density so it will not stretch from weight. All in all, it holds its shape pretty well. Yak down does not contain lanolin, so it's hypoallergenic.
A word on colors: All the colors are heathers. They are all very saturated colors, which makes them difficult to photograph well--the photos tend to look too dark, especially over the internet. Alternative names might be 02 Medium Gray Flannel, 03 Charcoal, 09 Ruby, 11 Navy, 13 Medium Light Olive, 15 Purple.

Use US 1-3 needles (2.25-3.25mm) for a solid fabric
7-8½ stitches per inch in stockinette
